Some repairs are stopgap measures intended to hold materials together until they can be sent out for commercial re/binding.

On paper-bound items we can apply tyvek tape to the outer spine to hold torn covers together.

First, we glue the edge of the torn cover onto the text block. Next, we place a length of tyvek tape around this torn edge to reinforce the glue joint.
