Replacing Page Parts

Procedure:

Replacing Page Parts

Wherever possible, we try to keep the original pages intact in volumes. This is quite easy when only a part of a page needs to be replaced. In the following example, a chart had to be replaced with an updated version.

First, we cut the replacement item (the chart) to the same size as the original one on the existing page.

Then, we cover the original chart (or text) with the new version and tape it down with archivally safe tape.

Using a weight makes such repairs easier and more exact.
