Large databases are useful tools for people working in science. These guides have been created to help you navigate a few specific natural history databases and utilize the available citation tools.

 

Journal Citation Database Guides

Biological Abstracts (Biosis)

This guide, provided by the UIUC Biology Library, helps users search through Biosis (a life science database connected to ISI Web of Science).

 

PubMed (Medline)

The National Library of Medicine (NLM) produces Pubmed, an online database containing over 16 million citations from over 5,000 biomedical journals. The UIUC Biology Library created this guide to help you understand the features and tools within the Pubmed database.
