Full Description:This first release includes 11,000 pages of material written by 36 authors and drawn from 84 source works. In the months ahead, the database will grow to include 100,000 pages of writing by more than 75 black American leaders, including previously unpublished material.

Black Thought and Culture provides approximately 100,000 pages of monographs, essays, articles, speeches, and interviews written by leaders within the black community from the earliest times to 1975. The collection will be used for research in black studies, political science, American history, music, literature, and art.
