The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign now offers its alumni access to RefWorks
Bibliography Manager. This personal citation management and formatting software was
previously available at no cost to University students, faculty, and staff only.
RefWorks allows its users to gather, manage, store, and share all types of information, as
well as generate citations and bibliographies. University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
alumni who used the tool while conducting research as students can access that information and
continue utilizing RefWorks long after graduation.
“We’re thrilled that RefWorks will now be available to Illinois alumni,” said Lisa Janicke
Hinchliffe, Coordinator for Information Literacy Services and Associate Professor of Library
Administration at the University. “RefWorks has been very successful on our campus with over
10,000 users to date.”
"We want the students and researchers that [sic] have depended on RefWorks to know that they
can continue to count on it, no matter where their careers take them," said Colleen Stempien,
Executive Director of Operations for RefWorks-COS.
