The Mathematics Library shelves reserves by author/editor last name. When requesting
reserve materials, please supply the last name of author/editor at the circulation desk.
Materials on reserve may be used within the Mathematics Library for two hours. A few reserve
materials may be charged out for overnight use one hour before the library closes in the evening
and are due one hour after the library is next scheduled to be open.
The reserve collection includes books placed on course reserve each semester as well as those materials on permanent reserve, and is located behind the circulation counter (Map A-5). The list of materials currently on reserve for the semester is available under Library Catalog Course Reserves, or in the reserve binder located on the circulation desk at the Mathematics Library. The list is organized by course number.
The Mathematics Library houses texts for all level courses on reserve. The Mathematics Department supplies a course list and before the start of each new semester, faculty members receive a request for a list of course reserves for the upcoming semester. Prompt attention to this request results in the books being on reserve when instruction starts.
In order to improve patron access to mathematics reserve materials, an extra copy, if available, is also on reserve at Grainger Engineering Library.
Copies of final examinations from previous semesters are available, on request, at the circulation desk. They are filed by course number (Map A-6) and are available for room use only. They may be photocopied/scanned in the Mathematics Library (Map A-14 / Map B-10), provided the staples are not removed. Copies of previous Mathematics Department's actuarial and comprehensive examinations are available for room use only.
