Find Books

 

  • Course Reserves - Search the UIUC Library Course Reserves Catalog by course number or instructor's name.
  • Springerlink, CRCNetBase, and Safari - Links directly to providers of electronic books available as PDF downloads by chapter. Springer publishes many very good mathematics books; CRC Press publishes widely on all of the hard sciences, especially engineering and chemistry, and Safari specialises in Information Technology publications.
  • New Books - A searchable database of books received by the Mathematics Library since 1999. For information on where the new book shelf is located,new book loan periods, or how to recommend a purchase, see the New Books webpage.
  • AMS Books Online - A freely accessible database of research-level mathematics books available online as free PDFs, searchable by author or subject. This list is maintained by the American Mathematical Association.
  • Math Reference Books - A searchable database of the books kept in the mathematics reference collection, which is located at the right end of the circulation desk.
  • Uncatalogued Books - A searchable database of books owned by the Mathematics Library but not included in the UIUC Online Catalog. These titles are shelved in a special location, so please ask at the circulation desk for any you wish to see.

  • Electronic Journals - All electronic journals available to the UIUC community through the Online Research Resources.
  • Online Math Journals - A list of the Math journals available through the UIUC Library's Online Research Resources.
  • Springerlink, Elsevier, and Wiley Interscience - Links directly to journal publisher websites; off-campus users will be prompted to authenticate through the UIUC proxy server before searching.
  • Project Euclid - Full-text articles available from journals participating in the Open Archives Initiative.
