Happy Birthday Mr Liszt!

October 22 is Franz Liszt’s birthday.  To celebrate, the Music Library displayed posters provided by Dr. Ed Rath, courtesy of Dr. Maria Eckhardt, Dr. Zsuzsanna Domikos, and the Liszt Memorial Museum in Budapest.  Highlights of the Music Library’s collection of Liszt materials were also on display.

As Liszt was a native of Hungary, we translated
“Happy Birthday Mr. Liszt” into Hungarian, which is, of course,
“Boldog Születésnapot Liszt Úr!”
