Description

Consistent donations over a period of about ten years were utilized to purchase a variety of sets and individual editions, primarily of vocal music. Harriet Ward also donated 23 University of Illinois concert programs (including a few duplicates) from the period 1910-1929–located at the Sousa Archives (see below).

Arrangement

Editions were cataloged as individual items and dispersed within Music and Performing Arts Library holdings. Concert programs are currently filed in manila envelope in Collections File folder (“Ward, Charlotte B.”).

Cataloged titles accessible via Music and Performing Arts Library card catalog and the online catalog, and a list of titles has been compiled from the information in the Collections File folder (see below). Collections File folder includes correspondence between Charlotte B. Ward and Music Librarians Jay Alien, Thor Wood, and William McClellan, as well as a number of cards, lists, and order slips for items requested and/or purchased through this fund.
