Funding for Program Participation
Applicants must secure adequate funding to support a stay at the Mortenson Center in order to be accepted into the program. Applicants must provide official confirmation in the form of a letter for all funding sources. Acceptance into the program also depends on whether the applicant meets the selection criteria, and the availability of space in the program.
There is information about possible funding resources on the American Library Association's International Relations Awards, Grants, and Exchanges page.
Although we receive many requests from professionals to participate in Mortenson Center programs, we accept no more than 12-15 participants at one time.
This year's program will begin and end in Chicago, IL. This is a change from previous years' programs.
Participants should plan to arrive in Chicago, Illinois' O'Hare International Airport on May 28, 2014. Program activities will begin on May 29, 2014.
The last day of program activities will be June 24, 2014. Participants should plan to depart from Chicago on June 25, 2014.
