The 2016 Mortenson Center Associates Program will offer individuals working in a library setting outside the United States an opportunity to explore current issues and trends in the library field and to engage with librarians implementing cutting-edge programs and services.
Program participants will learn about novel and inventive practices and services in areas such as:
-Leadership and communication
-Digital and print collections
-Marketing and advocacy
-International and professional networking
-Innovation and community outreach
2016 Applications are due by December 1, 2015.
Applicants must secure adequate funding to support a stay at the Mortenson Center in order to be accepted into the program. Applicants must provide official confirmation in the form of a letter for all funding sources. Acceptance into the program also depends on whether the applicant meets the selection criteria, and the availability of space in the program.

Although we receive many requests from professionals to participate in Mortenson Center programs, we accept no more than 12-15 participants at one time.
This year's program will begin and end in Champaign, IL.
Participants should plan to arrive in Champaign, Illinois' Willard Airport on May 24, 2016. Program activities will begin on May 25, 2016.
The last day of program activities will be June 21, 2016. Participants should plan to depart from Champaign on June 22, 2016.
