Which Libraries Have LIS Books?

When the Library & Information Library closed on May 15, 2009, the materials shelved there were re-distributed to other campus libraries.  Here's where they went:

Locations

• Main Library Stacks

• Books about: libraries (all types) and librarianship; bibliography; knowledge management; etc.

• Education & Social Science Library

• Books about:  children's and young adult literature; etc.

• Communications Library

• Books about:  publishing; internet and society; censorship; etc.

• Grainger Engineering Library

• Books about: computer hardware; computer networks; HTML and other programs; etc.

• History, Philosophy & Newspaper Library

• Books about: history of libraries; history of books and printing; etc.

• Rare Book & Manuscript Library (non-circulating reference collection)

• Books about: rare books and manuscript librarianship; book collecting; etc.

• Reference Department (non-circulating reference collection)

• LIS-related directories, encyclopedias, dictionaries, bibliographies, etc.; tools for cataloging; sample thesauri of subject terms; etc.

• Undergraduate Library

• LIS-related fiction, including mysteries; readers' advisory guides; DVDs; videotapes; audiotapes; etc.

• The online catalog is the ultimate guide to the location of books within the University Library system.
