Supplemental Materials

Supplemental materials are frequently used to share research data, so it is worth noting that the National Information Standards Organization (NISO) and the National Federation for Advanced Information Services (NFAIS) have published "Recommended Practices for Online Supplemental Journal Article Materials" (NISO RP-15-2013).  The practices will help guide the selection, delivery, discovery and preservation of supplemental materials.  The publication combines the work of two teams - one addressing business practices and one addressing technical issues.
