The Illinois Fire Service Institute Library (IFSIL) provides fire and emergency library and information assistance and services to the Institute's instructional staff, students, Illinois fire departments and firefighters, and other fire/emergency-related users. The information and services are intended to supplement the successful and effective performance of their research, studies, and jobs.
The IFSIL collects fire/emergency related literature including periodicals, fire codes, pamphlets, bulletins, course manuals, equipment and product catalogs, standards, technical reports, legislation, and newsletters.
IFSIL is a member of the International Network for Fire Information and Reference Exchange.
