The Communications Library supports the instructional and research programs of the Department of Communication (within the College of LAS) and the College of Media which includes the Departments of Advertising, Journalism, Media and Cinema Studies, and the Institute of Communications Research.
Its collections contain over 16,000 volumes of books, journals, newspapers and videos on advertising, public relations, communication, media studies, internet research, publishing, journalism, radio and television broadcasting, popular culture, polling and public opinion, and censorship.
Special collections include the D'Arcy and Woodward historical advertising collections which contain over 5 million historical advertisements from magazines and newspapers.
