Jon Gorman has joined ISD full time, transferring from his former home about 40 feet west in the IT Help Desk. Jon brings most of his former responsibilities along with him, and he's already been co-supporting many of our systems, so it's not going to be a radical change for him or us. Jon has been with Library IT since we were one unit (Library Systems), so he's already like family.
Jon has a great deal of applications and data processing programming experience, library knowledge, and some systems administration background too. Since most of his work is along these lines we all felt it made more sense to officially put him with IT Infrastructure & Software Development.
We're glad to have him join us officially and see him more regularly.
