The "Mail Slip" program is a custom Windows software application developed by John Weible in the Library Systems Office shortly after the Library migration to Voyager. Its purpose is to enable Central Circulation personnel to efficiently print customized mailing slips for delivery of requested materials to campus locations. It queries the Voyager patron database to retrieve the patron's name and local address, automatically reformatting certain address data as necessary.
The Mail Slip application should be functional whenever the Libraries are open for business.
Maintaining the Mail Slip program is a low priority for Library IT. If necessary, campus mail slips can be generated manually when the program is down.
Library IT troubleshoots Mail Slip problems during normal business hours (M-F, 8:30-5:00).
Problems are uncommon and usually are caused by one of the following issues:
To report problems with Mail Slip, please log a ticket with the IT Help Desk or call the Help Desk at 244-4688. Incoming tickets and calls are reviewed and prioritized as they arrive between 8:30-5:00, Monday through Friday. Tickets or calls coming in after hours are reviewed promptly on the next business day.

Users must be logged in on designated Library workstations with necessary authorizations.
IT Infrastructure & Software Development is responsible for the Mailing Slip application and the database upon which it depends. IT Workstation and Network Support maintains the desktop computers used to run this software.
