Connect to the Public Website


The Library’s public website is the primary tool for sharing information and providing online access to Library materials and services.  The Library uses a reverse proxy to integrate several distinct systems into one site.

When is this service available

The website is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Priority level for this service

Maintaining the website is a critical priority for Library IT. We make every effort to resolve problems with this service as quickly as possible.

How to report a problem

If a unit website is down, please  log a ticket with the IT Help Desk or call the Help Desk at 244-4688. Incoming tickets and calls are reviewed and prioritized as they arrive between 8:30-5:00, Monday through Friday. 

If you believe there is a widespread outage, or if the top level Gateway ( ) is down, please call 244-4688 and leave a message with the Library IT Help Desk answering service (aka the AITS Service Desk).   In an emergency situation the answering service will contact Library IT on-call support staff promptly.

Who can use this service

The website is available to anyone with an Internet connection.


What you must have to use this service

To use the Library website you must have a computer with an internet connection and a web browser.

Service owners

The Library Gateway servers are managed by the Infrastructure Management and Support group within Library IT.

The design and content of Library Gateway is managed by the Library's Web Team
