Resources for Students and Researchers

One-on-One Instruction

Need some help with your research? You can contact us any time you have a research or library-related question, either online with chat, on your home or cell phone, by email, or just by coming to our reference desks.

You can also use Librarian's Office Hours. The LOH are much the same as the office hours any faculty member has, providing a time to confer one-on-one with an expert on a myriad of problems and questions. The office hours provide students an opportunity to receive assistance in a less open setting than the library reference desk and, at the same time, are not limited to the focus of topical workshops. Assistance is provided by Undergraduate Librarians and Graduate Assistants.

Learn On Your Own

Many of your questions about how to use the library may be answered in a How Do I . . . ? guide or in a brief video tutorial.

If you'd like to take a self-guided tour of the library, check out an MP3 tour!

Workshops

The library offers drop-in workshops on various topics, including basic library research skills, using RefWorks (a citation management tool), and finding grants to fund your research. Check out the workshop schedule.
