Instructional Facilities and Equipment
This is an abbreviated list of instructional facilities available in the library. Check the
library's facilities list for a complete view of
administrative and
instructional spaces.

289 Undergraduate Library is administered
by the Computing and Communications Services Office (CCSO). The Library does NOT have special
priority in reserving this space. This Instructional Computing Site (ICS) provides 25 PC
workstations, projection equipment, and a whiteboard. To reserve classroom space for library
instruction in academic classes, use CCSO's
online reservation form. You will need
your NetID and
NDS password (password used at the ICS)
to use this form.
Note: If you want to use the computer site for staff training or for other
sessions that do not directly involve teaching students, please contact Susan Avery at
skavery@uiuc.edu, the Undergraduate Library's Instruction
Coordinator. She will work with CCSO to facilitate the reservation process.

291 Undergraduate Library is
administered by the Undergraduate Library. This room is equipped with:
- one Windows NT computer workstation
- ceiling mounted projector
- video equipment--DVD, VCR, and laserdisc
- ceiling speakers
- overhead projector
- whiteboard
- flip chart
The room seats about 30 people. To reserve this room, please e-mail
ugl291@library.uiuc.edu. You will need your I-card to
check out the key from the UGL Information Desk.

Main Library is located in the Main Library on the third floor. The room is equipped with:
- two 8 foot by 4 foot white boards
- one mobile white board easel
- one instructional computer
- fifteen computer stations (with standard size keyboards, optical mice and 19" LCD screens)
- screen and ceiling projector
- 12 foot by 5 foot table in center of room
The room schedule can be viewed in the Oracle Calendar as
Library-Room 314 Lab.Requests should be made through Marquita Miller (333-0317).Meetings
may be requested no earlier than ten days prior to the actual meeting time to allow for
accommodation of instruction requests. Meetings in this room should be limited to those requiring
technology.

Grainger also has an
instructional facility in room 429. This space contains 16 workstations, projection equipment,
lighting control, and whiteboards. The workstations contain the same applications that are
installed on standard public workstations. Additional applications can be added if coordinated at
least two weeks prior to the needed date and only if they are compatible with hardware and software
already present. To schedule this room, call Ruth A. Sattazahn at 333-3576.
- The ACES Funk Library also has an instructional facility in room 509. This room has 38
workstations, projection equipment, and whiteboards. The workstations contain the same applications
that are installed on standard public workstations. A brief orientation to the room is required. To
schedule this room, contact Barbara Trumpinski-Roberts at 333-5081 or by email at
kittent@uiuc.edu.
- A laptop and projector can be checked out from the Library Systems Office for use in
instruction through the
Equipment Request
Form.
