Grow, David T. (1848-71). Letters, 1864-65 | Illinois History and Lincoln Collections

David Grow, of Springfield, Ill., served in Co. A, 30th Ill. Vol. Inf., from Feb. 1864 to July 1865. In these letters, of which the Survey has transcripts and photocopies, Grow describes camp life, battle wounds, the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain, and Sherman's March to the Sea.

L. B. Jobusch, of Champaign, Ill., loaned the letters to the Survey for copying in 1965.
