Scope and Contents: This collection includes a letter from J. M. "Jackson" Earlidge, of Albion, Ill., to James Earlidge, of London, England, describing the country around Albion. The document is an unsigned copy of an 1843 agreement whereby Thomas Jennings conveys a two-thousand acre tract of land in West Florida to James Jackson Earlidge.
