Scope and Contents:
In 1908, J. Seymour Currey, president of the Evanston Public Library, spoke on "Chicago's North Shore" to the Illinois State Historical Society. His address was later published in the Transactions of the Illinois State Historical Society for the Year 1908. This collection includes a letter from Currey to Evarts B. Greene, and a newspaper clipping with the text of the address as annotated by Currey.
