Scope and Contents:
The Twenty-Eight Club was organized in 1928 as a social and service organization for the wives of University of Illinois faculty members. The group evolved over the years until it was absorbed by the University Women's Club. This collection contains correspondence (1956-58), meeting minutes (1960-70), three treasurer's reports (1931-62, 1934-52, and 1956-61), and various newspaper clippings dealing with the Club's activities.
