Scope and Contents:
Henry I. Green, of Urbana, Ill., was a delegate to the 1970 Illinois Constitutional Convention where he served on the Committee on Suffrage and Constitutional Amending. This collection contains the material accumulated by Green at the convention, including correspondence, testimony, committee proposals and reports, background information, drafts of constitutions, and a journal. Much of the material is available in Record of Proceedings, Sixth Illinois Constitutional Convention, 7 vols. (Springfield, Secretary of State, 1972).
Green donated the collection to the Illinois Historical Survey in 1972. The collection was supplemented by Wallace Farnham in 1990.
