Scope and Contents: Francis Feighner of Peoria, Ill., enlisted for one hundred days in May 1864, served in Co. F, 139th Ill. Vol. Inf., and was mustered out in October. This document, which recognizes his service, was signed by Assistant Adjutant General Edward D. Townsend and includes the stamped signatures of President Lincoln and Secretary of War Stanton.
