Scope and Contents: After World War I, the Champaign County Council of Defense collected county war records from the Champaign County Council of Defense, the County Fuel Administration, the War Camp Community Service, the Cooperating Committee on Tuberculosis War Problems, the Food Production and Conservation Committee, the Liberty Loan Committee, and the Champaign County Four Minute Men. The collection contains the final report of the Council of Defense as well as work records of the Four Minute Men.
Marguerite Jenison (Pease), who directed the work of the War Records Section of the Illinois State Historical Library, 1920-24, donated the materials to the Survey.
