Scope and Contents: This collection includes a statement on April 1, 1857, by Samuel Tillery, a justice of the peace, regarding a sheriff's auction of a one-and-a-half acre estate of John N. Nelson, in Liberty, Mo., to satisfy debts owed by him to William Enos Osman and Ralph Sellew.  The collection also contains an assortment of business cards: ten for St. Louis merchants and lawyers, and one for a St. Joseph, Mo., lawyer.
