What is a library orientation session?

During your orientation session, we will help you set up your library account, go over relevant library policies, introduce relevant resources sources, and course reserves to get you started with you academic career at University of Illinois. These short sessions can be personalized according to your area of study so you will know where to get help and who to contact.  The International and Area Studies Library is here to assist you.

Who can attend orientation sessions?

Anyone can attend these sessions.  Undergraduate and graduate students, and visiting scholars. We would love to meet with you and introduce you to the many library services available here at the University Library.

When can I schedule an orientation session?

Orientation sessions can be scheduled at any time during the year, not just the beginning of the semester.
