  • Africa South of the Sahara: African Statistics

    A very thourough web site featuring practically every statistical agency worldwide that produces data on Africa, notably commercial, educational, and governmental statistics.


    The statistical database of COMESA (Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa), a trading block of 20 member states. The site features economic, GDP, trade, and population data.  Registration is required to use the database.

  • Council of European Social Science Data Archives (CESSDA)

    CESSDA promotes the acquisition, archiving and distribution of electronic data for social science teaching and research in Europe. Information is compiled by CESSDA's member countries.

  • EUROSTAT (Statistical Office of the European Communities)

    Socioeconomic, demography, environment and trade statistics for the European Union and the euro-zone.

  • InfoNation

    InfoNation is an easy-to-use, two-step database that allows you to view and compare the most up-to-date statistical data for the Member States of the United Nations.

  • Statistical Data Locator

    Mostly development, economic, and trade, plus some general census statistics for Asia, South/Southeast Asia and Oceania. Directory of Web sites organized by country. Compiled by the Library at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
