Print Resources: Books, textbooks, exams and physical images on reserve are located behind the Circulation Desk. Please ask a library worker for materials for your course.
Note: most UIUC libraries have reserves for some courses; your professor may have put the reserve items for your class at any one of several libraries.
Multimedia Resources: Compact discs and software guides are located behind the Circulation Desk.
Electronic Resources: E-resources are, in most cases, PDF files accessible online. You may access or print these files from library computers or your personal computer.
Not all courses have materials on reserve. To determine if your professor has reserved items, go to UIUC Online Library Catalog Course Reserve Search
Search the UIUC Online Library Catalog. Choose "Course Reserves". Select the Course Number or Instructor Name from the appropriate drop box and find your resource.
For electronic reserves, visit e-reserves and log in to view any course reserves for the classes in which you're enrolled.
You will need the call number or title of the reserve resource you seek, the course information (course number and instructor's name), as well as your I-card.
Don't have the call number or the course number? That's okay! Ask at the Circulation Desk and we will find your reserve resource. You must, however, have your I-card.
2 hours: Standard check-out period for reserves is two hours. Reserve resources may be renewed if no one else is waiting. If a 2 hour reserve item is checked out less than two hours before closing time, it must be returned before the library closes. 2 hour reserve items may not be kept overnight.
24 hour, 3 day, and 1 week: Some instructors have specified their materials are to be available for additional amounts of time.
