The library is often considered the heart of a university. That is especially true at the University of Illinois. The Library here is central to the University’s mission of teaching, research, and public service. As it adapts to meet new challenges, private support is imperative and needed now more than ever.
The Office of Library Advancement works to garner interest and secure external funds from Illinois alumni and friends, to provide visibility for the Library through its programs and events, and to promote the Library within the Illinois campus and the community-at-large. Advancement staff, under the guidance of accomplished University Library fundraising professional, Vicki Trimble, acquires funding that is used to strengthen collections, purchase new technology, and preserve the University’s rich history.
Gifts to the Library keep information resources up-to-date, comprehensive, and available to all University students, faculty, and staff. To learn how you can become more involved or for additional information, please contact any member of our advancement team below.
