Easy Start: Popular Online Sources

Online Resources in English and Film (Full List)
In order to find the material that is identified in a search of FIAF, you will need to interpret the citation and identify the essential elements for use in the Library's Online Catalog and the English Library Periodical List.
NOTE: Some non-essential elements have been omitted from the example below in the interest of clarity. Most citations are longer and include more elements than are displayed below. I have put an asterisk by those parts of the citation that you would use in finding the materials in the Library.
All of the citations given in FIAF are for articles in Journals.

You can determine whether UIUC owns the journal by clicking on Check for Holdings, which appears after the citation information. This link will take you directly into the Online Catalog.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The above "Check for Holdings" search may not find the journal, even if the Library owns it. If the UIUC online catalog reports "No matches," double-check these results by looking in the English Library Periodicals List, or check with the English Library staff.
