Library Services for Remote Users

EMAIL & PHONE REFERENCE

Reference questions can be sent to the Education and Social Science Library at educlib@uiuc.edu. Please include your name, e-mail address, and phone number in your message. To assist us in answering your query, please include as much information about your question as possible. Your question will be received by a librarian in the Education and Social Science Library. Every effort will be made to respond to your query within two working days. More information about this service.

You can also reach the Education and Social Science reference desk by telephone during normal library hours at (217) 244-1864.

ONLINE REFERENCE: ASK-A-LIBRARIAN

Real-time instant message reference is available from this page. The hours that reference chat is available vary from semester to semester, and are noted on the page. For more information on this service, please see this page from the Undergraduate Library.

ARTICLE & CHAPTER DELIVERY

For UIUC users, the fee-based Doc Express service provides desktop delivery of articles and chapters from journals and books held in UIUC's collection. Tables of content may be requested to help researchers select articles or chapters. Documents are made available on the web in PDF format.

UIUC users can request articles and chapters from journals or books not held at UIUC by ordering them through the interlibrary borrowing office. To make a request, use the first link on the page to login to your account using your university NetID and password. Documents are made available on the web in PDF format.
