December 2008/January 2009 New AcquisitionsThe December 2008 and January 2009 new acquisitions lists are now available. Past acquisitions lists are also available at http://www.library.uiuc.edu/edxold/acqhome.html Posted 3/31/09 2008 Digest of Education Statistics ReleasedThe U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics released its “Digest of Education Statistics, 2008” — an annual compilation of data on American education from prekindergarten through college. The Digest contains data on a variety of topics, including the number of schools and colleges, teachers, enrollments, and graduates, in addition to educational attainment, finances, and federal funds for education, libraries, and international comparisons. Posted 3/30/09 Video Tour of the S-CollectionThe Library's Digital Literacy department has created a video tour of the S-Collection. This video provides an introduction to the S-Collection, and also features the Center for Children's Books. Videos can be viewed in Quicktime or on YouTube. When watching the videos on YouTube be sure to click on watch in high quality. Quicktime and AVI files are best viewed on campus where download times are faster.
