• United Nations Division for Sustainable Development 
  Under National Information, the DSD brings together broad and detailed social, economic, institutional, and environmental data.

• United Nations Conference on Trade and Development 
  The most useful aspects of this site are its project pages.

• UN Women 
  Includes news and studies related to women's rights, women's economic empowerment, and increasing women's role in the decision-making processes affecting their lives.

• United Nations Development Program 
  Although this site includes hundreds of full-text reports and studies, its strength is its descriptions of UNDP programs. It is not an exceptional statistical source.

• United Nations Economic Commission for Africa 
  This site, which is for the most part arranged by development issue, provides links to excellent regional sites on information technology, gender, governance, and regional integration.

• United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific

  This is the UN's main source of studies and statistics on economic and social development in Europe and the Former Soviet Republics.

• United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean

  The future centerpiece of the EUMC site will be the European Racism and Xenophobia Information Network (RAXEN), an instrument for collecting and organizing data from European Union nations.
• Inter-Governmental Consultations on Asylum, Refugee, and Migration Policies in Europe, North America and Australia 
  Provides asylum data from member nations.
• International Organization for Migration 
  Through Migration Web, the IOM brings together UN reports and resolutions, the CIS Migration Legislation Database, a searchable database of migration-related Internet sites, and information on related journals, listservs, and study programs.
• Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees 
  The site's chief information source is REFWORLD, a collection of full-text databases described as "the most comprehensive and reliable refugee information resource available."

Statistics

• Asylum data 
  Covers Australia, Canada, the United States, and many Western European countries for 1992 to the present.
• ILM (International Labour Migration Statistics) 
  Provides data on citizenship, employment, immigrant laborers, and nationals working abroad for up to five countries simultaneously. The user must conduct multiple searches in order to gather data on more than one variable.

• FINDATA: ITC's Export Credit Finance Directory 
  FINDATA is a directory of financial institutions in developing and transition countries that support international trade.

  This database, which FITA claims is the only directory of its type on the Internet, provides access to information on EMCs in the U.S.

  This is a good source of current information, including in-depth, full-text reports.
• Portal on Women, Peace, & Security 
  This UNIFEM product offers comprehensive information on the dangers and responsibilities facing women and girls during armed conflicts and women's roles in peace building
• United Nations Commission on the Status of Women 
  The CSW's activities revolve around the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action. Links to hundreds of full-text documents related to this endeavor are provided for each of the Commission's annual sessions.
• United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women 
  CEDAW monitors the compliance of governments with the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women. Access CEDAW documents through the Treaty Bodies Database.
• United Nations Development Fund for Women 
  Includes news and studies related to women's rights, women's economic empowerment, and increasing women's role in the decision-making processes affecting their lives.

• United Nations International Research and Training Institute for the Advancement of Women 
  INSTRAW fulfills its mandate through the Gender Awareness Information Networking System (GAINS), a database that includes research resources, policy papers, and information on research in progress.
• Women's Human Rights Resources 
  Provides annotated bibliographies on more than thirty issues in women's international human rights law. Each bibliography includes scholarly articles, conventions, UN and NGO reports, case law, and legislation. Links to full text are given when possible.
• WomenWatch: The UN Gateway on the Advancement and Empowerment of Women 
  Includes a broad range of documentation from United Nations bodies and conferences related to women's well-being.

• Gender Indicators for Follow-up and Evaluation of the Regional Programme of Action for the Women of Latin America and the Caribbean, 1995-2001, and the Beijing Platform for Action 
  This document proposes and defines indicators but provides no statistics.
