        • Bureau of Labor Statistics on the occupational characteristics on nearly every imaginable occupation. Organized by type of job, it contains a description of the nature of the work, working conditions, employment figures, details on training, necessary qualifications and likelihood of advancement and a job outlook. It is supplemented by the Career Guide to Industries (listed below).

        • Taken every five years, the Economic Censuses provide industry data for the United States, states, and counties, broken down by industry, product, commodity, or service. Tables include sales or value of shipments, employment, financial, and operating statistics.
