Key elements of Digital Services and Development have merged into the Digital Content Creation (DCC) team. Both units continue to explore the use of multimedia and network technology to promote preservation of the Library's unique collections and to provide widespread access to those collections. The digitization unit was originally established in 1994 with the mission of providing digital access to the University of Illinois Library´s collections. The continual digital access serves to complement other online research resources we have licensed from publishers and other vendors outside of the University of Illinois.
