The UIUC Library is decentralized. In addition to the Main Library, there are a number of unit libraries that are located in the same buildings as various departments. Information resources for Atmosperic Sciences can be found in the Main Library Stacks, Maps & Geography Library, Grainger Engineering Library, Physics Library, Geology Library, the Oak Street remote shelving facility, as well as others, and electronic resources can be accessed from any place in the world. The most efficient way to locate materials is by using the UIUC online catalog.

In addition to the UIUC Library, the Atmospheric Sciences Department maintains its own library which is open to University of Illinois students and researchers during regular business hours. The library contains a large collection of texts, journals, and other periodicals on subjects directly and indirectly related to atmospheric sciences.
