Description
This
is
an
8
drawer
cabinet
made
using
horseshoe
nail
boxes
as
drawers.
The
drawers
are
furnished
with
white
porcelain
1"
diameter
drawer
pulls
held
with a
bolt
and
nut.
There
is
no
back
to the
cabinet.
Interpretation
These
homemade
drawers
held
nails
,
calks
,
mower
sections
, and
other
items
that the
blacksmith
would
use
daily.
Instead
of
throwing
away
the
packaging
of the
horse
nails
, these
blacksmiths
created
something
new
and
useful
for their
shop.
