Description	A rectangular glass slide depicting four scenes of far off lands. A scene from Asia, Africa and two from Europe.
Interpretation	Magic Lanterns were projectors which made a small, handpainted image project on a large screen. Shows were held in theatres; children had toy magic lanterns as well. Far off lands could be instructional or amusing to adults and children alike.
