Description
A
heavy
cast
iron
lamp.
It
is
cylindrical
with a
two
wick
holes
on the
top
on a
slotted
panel
which
includes
a
knob
to
move
aside
that
panel
for
filling.
The
lamp
is
on a
long
iron
handle
which
moves
back
and
forth.
Interpretation
This
lamp
was
probably
used
in
some
industrial
or
manufacturing
sphere
where
a
heavy
duty
lamp
on a
long
handle
would be
useful.
It
could
either
be a
whale
oil
or
camphene
lamp.
