| Title | Engraving of the Lincoln family |
| Coverage / Year | 1866; Middle Victorian, Springfield, IL |
| Description | Engraved print "Lincoln and His Family." Shows Tad, Mr. Lincoln, Robert & Mrs. Lincoln gathered around a table at the White House. In the background is an ornately framed portrait of Willie, marble bust of Washington, an oval firescreen and ornate fireplace. L 28" x W 22". |
| Interpretation | After the Lincolns moved into the White House, they became a popular subject of prints and this version was one of the most popular. The portraits were based on individual photographs since only Mr. Lincoln and Tad were ever photographed together. Willie is shown in a frame on the wall as he had died in 1862, prior to the print being designed. |
