| Description | Interior scene of a barn with animals (horses, pigs, goat, rabbits, ducks, cat, rooster, pigeons, goose) and man and woman. Horses stand to right of scene. Black horse is covered with a blanket that a cat is laying on. Center of picture shows the middle beams with harnesses hanging from it and the farmer's wife holding a rabbit in her apron. Farmer is in left scene reaching into a backet of straw. Frame is modern red mahogany. L 44" x W 33 1/2". |
| Interpretation | Used as interior decor for the sitting ooom of the Abraham Lincoln Home. A drawing from an 1861 Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper depicts a framed print of a horse in the same location in the Lincoln Home Sitting Room. |
