DescriptionCary's New Terrestrial Globe. Terrestrial globe/map of World. Green oceans with dark green and black outlines; tan, green and reddish land masses; black rivers, mountains, and lettering. Globe is circled vertically at an angle by a brass band with scale on one side, circular brass piece at North Pole. Globe is mounted by brass band in a four-legged wooden stand with cross stretchers. Legs painted with black laquer. Wooden circular horizontal band with top in material like globe. H 15" x Diam. 12".
InterpretationUsed for education, and for reference to distances, geography, and countries of the world. Similar to LIHO 1. Because it was manufactured in England, the Atlantic Ocean is marked as "The Western Ocean."
