DescriptionWritten document from the Logan and Lincoln law office, giving details of legal case. Filman Hornbuckle v. John Parkepile in Menard County, regarding a stolen black horse. Written in black ink (slightly faded), signed by Lincoln as "Logan & Lincoln, P.G." L 9 1/4" x W 7 3/8".
InterpretationCompleted during the November legal term, 1841, while Abraham Lincoln was junior partner to Stephen T. Logan. This was Lincoln's second partnership. It lasted from 1841-1844. Fairly typical of the legal cases Lincoln handled during his career.
