The
wood
frame
is
made
from
mahogany.
It
is

long

deep.
Interpretation
The
sofa
was
used
by the
Abraham
Lincoln
family
in their
most
formal
room
-
the
parlor.
The
sofa
appears
in an
1860
drawing
published
in
"Frank
Leslie's
Illustrated
Newspaper"
as
part
of a
story
on the
Republican
candidate
for
President.
