There was
some
confusion
regarding
the
designs
for the
1952
production
, the
1953
tour
, and the
1957
production.
An
attempt
has been
made
to
restore
order
to the
different
sets
of
designs.
It
is
still
quite
likely
,
however
, that
Motley
themselves
used
some
of their
earlier
designs
in
later
productions;
this
may
be the
reason
why
some
actors'
names
on the
costume
renderings
have been
erased
and
replaced
by
others.
