DescriptionOn Front: Birmingham Public Library; On Back: Birmingham Public Library, 2100 Park Place, Birmingham, Alabama 35203. The new facilities of the Birmingham Public Library were completed in September, 1984. Faced with Indiana Limestone and accented by a soaring glass spire over the entrance atrium, the building is connected to the restored old library building by an overhead glass crosswalk. The combined facilities provide over 200, 000 square feet of space for the citizens of Birmingham and the surrounding area.
