Escutcheon quarterly; quarters 1 and 4, or, parted in chief; upper part charged with 3 cushions; lower part with crown on cross argent (silver); quarters 2 and 3, gules (red) parted in chief, the upper part charged with a roundel, lower part charged with a lion passant between 3 fleurs de lis; helm and mantlng; crest: hand with dagger dripping with blood.
Note[1] Motto: I mak sicker = I make sure. [2] Crest and motto refer to the story of how Sir Roger de Kirkpatrick killed the tyrant Red Comyn in 1306.
