DescriptionCoat of arms. Escutcheon parted per pale: Dexter, quarterly, 1st and 4th, azure (blue), on a chevron argent (silver) between three bears' heads couped argent, muzzled gules (red), a man's heart proper, for Forbes; 2nd and 3rd, counterquartered, 1st and 4th, azure charged with three bears' heads couped and muzzled, 2nd and 3rd, azure, charged with three cinqfoils. Sinister, or (gold) a bend gules surmounted of a fess chequy azure and argent, in chief a crescent of difference, for Stuart of Fettercairn. Crest: Issuing out of a baron's coronet a hand holding a scymitar. Supporters: two bears rampant. Motto: Nec timide nec temere.
